One of the most vibrant and fastest growing areas in Colorado Springs, the Powers area offers exceptional values in recently built and new homes. Powers is often the first choice for families with young children. The homes in the Powers area are built mostly from the mid-1990's thru brand new, so there's a "new-ness" about the area, the communities, the subdivisions, and the schools. Powers is definitely one area to strongly consider if you would like a newer single-family home and your budget is in the $175,000 to $225,000 price range. I've helped dozens and dozens of families buy in the Powers area over recent years, especially active-duty Air Force families, and everyone really seems to enjoy the Powers area. The Powers Corridor, stretching along Powers Blvd. from Constitution to Woodmen Road, is being built out rapidly, with many new shopping centers. Powers Boulevard itself is being extended north and west towards I-25; it is fast becoming a principal artery for transportation around Colorado Springs. The Powers area is about 10 minutes from Peterson Air Force Base and 25 minutes from Schriever Air Force Base.
The Stetson Hills area off Stetson Hills Boulevard offers brand new and resale homes. Resale homes are priced from the $160,000s to the $400,000s. In addition to single-family homes, there are brand new and recently built town homes priced from the low $150,000s to the $180,000s.
Greenhaven, in Stetson Hills, is a distinctive community of recently-built homes featuring stylish architecture and a unique cottage-style look. Indigo Ranch is a major development centered at the corner of Peterson at Stetson Hills. This area is expanding northwards towards Dublin in new subdivision filings.

Springs Ranch is the large area of homes east of Powers and stretching north from Constitution Ave., bordered by the Springs Ranch Golf Course and First & Main Town Center shopping area on the west. A unique community, The Cascades at Springs Ranch, offers homes on patio-sized lots. It's located just south of Remington Elementary School at Pony Tracks Drive.
